How can I confirm that Universal Restore is installed on my PC (Is a separate .exe file required?)

Thread needs solution

I want to be able to confirm that my installed version of Acronis true image 2016 includes the Universal Restore feature. Is there a separate executable installation file for this? If so, what is it's name?  I'm having motherboard problems and want to make sure that I can install on a new motherboard for a different computer. Thank you.

On your computer go to Control Panel-->Programs and features look at the Acronis Applications that are installed. Do you see Acronis Universal Restore Media Builder listed? If not login to your Acronis account and download and install it. Then you can build the UR media. The other way to check is to Open TI and click on the Tools Icon. UR should be listed, if not go to your account.

You should also see it as a separate application under program files when you search for it:

Windows Start Button >>> All Programs >>>> Acronis >>> Run Universal Restore Media Builder

Alternatively, you can manually navigate to it:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\UniversalRestore\UniversalRestore.exe
