How to delete old backups?
I am trying to delete some old backups from ATI 2016 (to make room on my backup drive for new backups). Help says to right-click on the desired backup from the backup list in the Backup section. I can't find any backups in the Backup section, or anywhere else. I can't find a solution for this problem on this forum.

Hello Steve
Thank you for your response, but it doesn't answer my question. My problem is that I can't find any backup list, so I can't right-click the backup to delete. Since I never changed the name on any of my old backups I would expect them to appear in the GUI. Note that I previously deleted a couple even older backups (unwittingly) using File Explorer, so that when I tried to recover a file from an existing backup I got an error; as I recall the error was "Cannot find version 1." I just clicked through these so now I can recover files from existing backups.

Ed, can you post some screen shots of what you are seeing here, i.e. from the main Acronis GUI showing your tasks, and of the storage drive showing the files you want to delete? That will make it easier to know how best to advise you.
Note: Acronis have made this issue easier to handle in ATI 2019 and later by providing a new option in the GUI to 'Clean up versions' of backup files, but that is not available for earlier versions such as your 2016.

Steve - I think the attached is what you're asking for. If you need more let me know.

Ed, if as shown in your first image there are no backup tasks shown in the main ATI GUI, i.e. your image just shows a new task in the process of being created, then you could just delete any unwanted backups in Explorer.
