How do I create multiple full image backups
I have two copies of Tru Image 2016. One is for my desktop and te other for my laptop. On my desktop my backup options are a custom scheme where I make full backups and under the backup methiod I have it set up to store no more than 5 backups but never to delete the first version of the backup.
Today I backed up my laptop and found out that my configuration was only setup to make 1 new full backup and delete the older backup. When I went to change my options to be the same as my destop PC I the "Old Version Cleanup Rules" and the checkbox to not delete the first version of the backup is simply not available for me to select and configure. Both versions of True Image are the same and both are up to date some I'm wondering how the version for my laptop does not give me the same options as my desktop version?
Can anyone tell me how to get this additional functionality on my laptop's version of True Image?

Unfortunately, deleting everything including the settings diesn't work as I still do not have the option to create a custom, full backup with multiple copies as the option too do so simply is not available.
Here's what i did:
I first moved the existing backup I have to a different folder on my removable drive. I then went into TI and deleted what was showing up in my list. Since the backup had been moved from it's previous location it asked me if I wanted to remove it from the list and remove it's configuration and I agreed so from my prospective this was like starting over. At that Point I selected the partition backup as my source and selected all of my partitions and then selected my removable drive as my destination drive. I then went into options and slected a custom backup scheme and then a full scheme as my backup method. At that point I expected to see the options to create multiple full copies shown but they are not listed.
One thing I was wondering is is where the backup scheme and methods are stored? I'm wondering if I could copy the scheme from my PC to my laptop and acquire the configuration that way.
Please let me know if there's anyway to resolve the issue of the options not being present to begin with and then if anyone knows where the scheme is stored let me know that as well.

William, lets start from the point that you have outlined in the last post.
You have created a Custom backup scheme that will only make Full backup images to be stored on your removable drive.
If this is correct, then every time that this backup task runs, whether by schedule or by manual action, then a new full backup image will be created.
When you say that you expected to see options to create multiple full copies - this is not shown because it is redundant by virtue that every copy will be a new full backup image - that is the scheme you have created.
It is only when you elect to use either incremental or differential backup methods that you will get further options to decide how many such incremental or differential backups should be created before making a new full backup image.
See the ATIH 2016 User Guide: Custom schemes then click on each of the types of backup, i.e. Full, Differential etc.

Well, I figured it out. As mentioned in my initial post I have 2 copies of TI - One for my PC and the other for my laptop. When I was comparing the 2 configurations I failed to notice that on my PC I had selected "Turn On Automatic Cleanup" which is not the default configuration option in TI 2016. If you select that option, you will be presented with additioal options that allow you delete older versions that are X days old or you can select another option to keep X number of full backups. If you also check the check box at the bottom TI will not delete the original backup regardless of how old it is. I've included a snapshot of the configuration page with automatic cleanup turned on just so anyone else reading this post will know what I was referring to.

William, thanks for the feedback, glad to hear that you have worked out what the difference was - automatic cleanup isn't turned on by default and there are mixed views as to that I am sure, as to whether it should be on or not.
