How do I prevent automatic backups?

Thread needs solution

Running 64-bit Win7 Pro.  Each time I plug in a 128GB USB flash drive, TI 2016 (6027) begins an automatic backup of my C: partition.  I would like to prevent this from happening, but can find no way to do it.  Any ideas?

You must have a task set to run when you fo that.  Check your backup task settings Options.  If you schedule a backup to a USB flash drive or validation of a backup that is located on a USB flash drive, one more check box appears: Run when the current destination device is attached. Selecting the check box will let you perform a missed operation when the USB flash drive is attached if it was disconnected at the scheduled time. If you have this option selected then disable it and see if that changes things.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

As I said, I don't want an automatic backup to run at any time, but setting TI's Options > Disk backup options > Schedule to Do Not Schedule seems to have solved the problem.

Yes, that should do it as well. Glad you got it sorted out.
