How to mount ASZ images
In TI 2013 under Tools and Utilities > Image mounting, there were options to Mount Image and Unmount Images. I cannot find these options in 2016. Where are they?

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that I am using Acronis Secure Zone. There are no tib files. Clicking on the ASZ in Windows Explorer simply shows undated folder names. Doing 'View Details' shows these same folders, but again, without dates. No idea which of the folders is more recent relative to others. Opening one of these folders again shows sub-folder without dates, but there is a suffix: 1, 2, 3, etc. which, I supposed might mean that '3' is more recent that '1' and '2'. Opening one of those folders shows the backed-up drives. Again, no dates, no idea of when these drives were backed up. How do I find the backup from e.g. last Wednesday? The ATI 2013 version's Tools > Mount Image function listed all backups by date. How do I find a specific backup in ATI 2016?

I have not used secure zone myself. I'm reading up on it a bit now though. Perhaps some of the information in the online manual will be useful for you as well? It looks like you should be able to right click on the files and would then be presented with different options such as Explore, Mount, etc.

Acronis Secure Zone in Windows Explorer
When you create an Acronis Secure Zone, it is displayed in the Other section of Windows Explorer. You can navigate through the Acronis Secure Zone as an ordinary partition.
Right-click a specific backup or a backup version to view all available operations:
- Explore
- Mount (for image backups)
- Recover
- Validate
- Update
- Remove
- View the version's details
If Acronis Secure Zone is password-protected, any operation, except viewing version details, requires entering the password.

After opening the ASZ with Windows Explorer I get a list of "disks"; numbered, but no dates. Right-clicking on one of those disks and selecting 'Mount', does give me a list of drive letters to mount; again no dates, but I would assume it is offering to mount the most recent of that "disk".
Right-clicking and selecting 'Details' does give me the date that "disk" (archive) was create, but no date on any of the backups inside that archive.
Right-clicking and selecting 'Explore' gives me a display of more disks -- 23 in the example I'm looking at. Again, numbered, but no dates.
Finally, clicking "Details" on one of these "disks" actually show file type "tib" and gives me the creation date. Right-clicking on this "tib" let's me mount it.
Ah, so I get it. The top-level "disks" are "Backup method: Full", the sub-disks are "Backup method: Incremental"
WHAT A PAIN!!!!!! Did the "team" at Acronis actually think this was easier than the simple Tools > Mount Image which gave you this whole hierarchy, date stamped, in a simple waterfall list? And it's another real P.I.A having to re-enter the password at every movement up and down this hierarchy! I sorely miss my ATI 2013! In addition to this painful process, the log files are gone so I can't look back and see that nice calendar of success and failure at a glance. I *have* to turn on email notification ... another brilliant idea. First rule of software: never take away features. While I'm on a rant, I dislike having to constantly see advertisements for Acronis Cloud every time I fire up the console -- If I wanted in the cloud, I would have signed up already. If I ever want it, I know where to go! 'Archive', 'Dashboard' and 'Sync' menu selections are more cloud adverts. Dashboad actually should be ... A DASHBOARD! -- something substantive like it was on the old ABR-10 product.
Oh well. I've always had issues with the non-intuitiveness of the Acronis interface, especially for recovery. I stick with Acronis because it does work. I had hoped the interface would get better, but the opposite is true.
Thanks for listening. I feel better. (I wonder if Acronis ever reads this forum)
