How to restore files or entire disk from a .tib file?

Thread needs solution

I have several .tib files stored on my Synology NAS.   If say my laptop crashed, how could I restore it from one of these .tib files?   I'm assuming copy it to a USB drive, boot with the ATI rescue USB drive, then select it at that point?

-Thanks

Bernard, you could do as you have outlined, or you also boot from the ATI Rescue Media with your laptop connected by wired ethernet cable to your network and restore the backup file across the network from your NAS.

I would recommend creating and testing the Rescue Media and try connecting to your NAS before you ever need to do this in an emergency.

Some NAS could also be connected by a USB cable to your laptop.

Thanks for the clarification, I thought that restoring over the network would not be a viable option.  Rather, restoring over Wifi is not an option, but restoring using ethernet is.

I'll have to try this as you suggested.  As they say, backups are easy, it's the restores that fail!
