How to restore my files from disc - first accident

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I Need to restore all my data from backup disk to a new PC, as my previous one is dead and data is lost. What is the best way to proceed, as I cannot see any backups in Acronis App. I can Access all my backups in Exlorer. The last ones are 1 full- and 2 incremental backups.

Many thanks for any help.

You should be able to double click on the last incremental in Windows Explorer and mount the backup which will allow you to access the archive and get your data.

You can also use the TI Recovery CD and restore the backup AS FOLDERS/FILES restore and restore your data to new folders in the new computer.

Enchantech, will the last incremental also include data from the last full when mounting?

It should because it is the same chain.

When I double click on the last incremental, there is no Option to Mount, I can open this Folder and then the next. Ok, when I open the last incremental, it see all the latest incremental and the latest full, but cannot Mount any.

When I right click last incremental there is an option to mount using True Image. Tried this and receive the message: Specified archive cannot be mounted since it contains no partitions.

Your backup image is a folders and files backup rather than a disk backup correct? You should be able to copy the desired folders/files from what you see on screen to the desired destination location. A right click on a folder/file should have a copy option available.

Enchantech, many thank's for your support. I'll have my backup proceed well planned and trained from now.
