How to switch off Cloud Default

Thread needs solution

As a new user to Acronis I signed onto the Cloud out of curiosity now I can't get rid of the default.
I want to use the Archive utility to archive (and hopefully compress) a folder containing 500GB of movie data to my NAS drive but it always defaults to the Cloud. I have managed to do a full system backup onto the NAS so I can't see why it would not not let me chose that for archiving (the backup was from another PC with less on its hard drive than the one with the 500G).

I'm a bit disappointed with the product to be honest, after all the good reviews I read.

The archiving feature of the application is Cloud specific. You can select the data you are working with in backup mode and select destination of your NAS. You will not gain much if any in attempting to further compress your movies however as in most cases such files are already compressed. You would probably be better off just coping the movie folder onto the NAS using Windows Copy feature.

OK thanks - I started the Windows copy to my NAS a few hours ago and it estimates another day to complete at just over 5 MB/sec! I was hoping it would be quicker with the Acronis software. I have another similar sized folder to work on on my (other) son's PC tomorrow. I guess there are compromises to be expected when connected via wifi to the NAS.

You mentioned video files: most of those are already compressed, so you're not likely to save much space. On top of that, I'm pretty sure that it takes disproportionately longer to zip up bigger files. (I no longer remember the ins and outs of the various compression algorithms.)
