How to tag images?

Thread needs solution

As I make an incremental back up, I'd like to be able to tag the image with info like "Microsoft Office Installed." How could I do this?

You can include it in the name of the backup taks. You can rename the backup task by clicking on the on the inverted ^ and selecting rename.

Thank you. But am I able to re-name the incremental back up? For example these two files:

Win 10 Image (no Programs)_full_b1_s1_v1

Win 10 Image (no Programs)_inc_b1_s2_v1

Can I name the second one:

Win 10 Image (MS Office Installed)_inc_b1_s2_v1

Would be nice to be able to tag an incremental back up as I installed a long list of programs that won't fit in a file name.

I don't recommend renaming the file names as you have shown as this will cause other problems when Acronis tries to validate the integrity of the backup version chain, i.e. it will complain that the chain is broken because the incremental backup file cannot be found using the original name.

What you can do is to use the Comments field for the backup task to hold some information about the changes.

Perhaps a better way, would be to create a text document that gets included in the backup that you can then open and read via Windows Explorer from within the .TIB file.  I do this on each of my partitions so that I know exactly what the original drive letter for the partition was, so for example, I have a file called K-Serva.txt in the root of the partition backup for that drive partition.

As shown above, for ATIH 2016 on the Advanced options page there is one for Backup comment.
