How to turn off background procedures to improve computer performance and reduce shut down time?

Thread needs solution

Would like to know how to shut off Acronis background procedures in order to improve computer performance. Also to reduce shut down time when shutting down the computer or restarting. My guess would be to edit start up programs and turn off (deactivate) all Acronis start ups. I am not worried about automatic procedures and can easily enable them and restart when I want to perform a back up.

If you have scheduled backups, turn off their schedule and see if that solves your startup issues.
When you schedule backups, in the advanced settings, make sure you know what you want, in particular when you ask ATI to start missed backups upon startup, or wait for the computer to be idle to backup. I would personally turn these options off.

Pat, I have a similar question. Which files need to run in the background if I'm only doing incremental backups twice a week to a local hard drive? I have 7 files running right now. Do I need them all? Thanks.

TrueImageMonitor.exe
Schedul2.exe
Schedhlp.exe
TibMounterMoniotor.exe
Afdcpsrv.exe
mms_mini.exe
syncagentsrv.exe

TrueImageMonitor.exe
This makes the app available from the system tray. YOu can do without it. Turn off in startup items

Schedul2.exe
Schedhlp.exe
This need to stay on. Otherwise you cannot backup, whether on schedule or manually

TibMounterMonitor.exe
You can turn off in startup items

Afdcpsrv.exe
YOu can turn the non-stop backup service if you don't use it, and if you don't use try&decide

mms_mini.exe
You can turn this service off if you don't use the online Acronis dashboard to manage your computers

syncagentsrv.exe
You can turn this service off, after you have successfully logged on at least once in the app, if you don't use the sync service.

I have turned off everything possible as I don't use these features.
