I don't want the cloud! Stop with the pestering please

Thread needs solution

I tried the cloud backup and did not like it. I paid for a years subscription and abandoned using it after the first week. Now all I want is a normal back up software to back up to my own drives.

I reinstalled True Image Home 2015 but was informed I'm elegible to a free upgrade to 2016. I was concerned because I didn't want the cloud option but was reasured when I could see two options to upgrade to - True Image 2016 and True Image Cloud.

So I upgraded to True Image 2016 only to find it was True Image Cloud and insists on pestering me to log in, resubscribe and no matter how many times I refuse it will not let up. I have signed into my Acronis account and logged OUT and deleted my old backup attempts. I'm so angry about how Acronis are trying to just wear me down into submission that after using True image since version 9 I'm now prepared to uninstall it and go to another provider.

How do I stop the emails, and popups and the cloud login screen on start up please? It's so depressing how our lives are soiled by big corporate companies trying to literatly grind us down into submission.

The emails constantly asking me to re-subscribe have NO opt out or do not remind me again options.

Andrew - there is no requirement to use the cloud. However, the popup is there the first time you log in - no way of changing this currently.  You are not the first to have issue with this or suggest the default behavior be modified.  It is something I have recommended through the MVP program as well so that non Cloud users can remove the prompt.  At the moment though, you will have to provide one click to move past it and then it's business as usual.  I would suggest submitting feedback through the application.  The more people that register the dislike of it, the more likely we are to see the change in future updates.
