incremental backup fails, no error message, have log file

Thread needs solution

True Image 2016, incremental backup fails.  Plenty of disk space. Have tried more than once.  Why can't True Image show some error reason ?

Here's relevant portion of log file, full logfile attached.

Chuck, welcome to these user forums.

Thank you for the log file - this shows some other issues than the ones you picked out in your post above.

id=22; message=Gpt crc corrupt!

id=45; message=File or folder 'E:\DRIVEG\videoISOs\' cannot be found.
id=46; message=File or folder 'E:\DRIVEG\DEVIL_BAT\' cannot be found.

id=50; message=Writing incremental version to file: My files_inc_b6_s3_v1.tib
id=51; message=Error occurred while backing up.;
id=52; message=Error occurred while writing the file.;

From the above errors, I would recommend running a CHKDSK /F /R against the drives involved in this backup, i.e. both the source and target drives.  There are other messages in the log file which are just diagnostic messages intended for the Acronis developers to use but as far as I am aware, the GPT CRC corrupt is not one of them.

If the CHKDSK does not resolve this issue, then there is a possibility that this could be caused by a MS VSS issue - the Volume Shadow Copy Service is used to create a snapshot of files being backed up.

See post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/45832#comment-346558 which has details of a method to disable VSS for a single Acronis task script.

Thanks much Steve.

E: is a 8TB RAID-5, running CHKDSK on it now, it's indicating "22 hours" to complete.

Will let you know how it goes.

   Chuck

The chkdsk of E: took 36 hours :)   didn't find any problems.

Tried disabling VSS, but still aborts after about 40GB.

Currently running chkdsk on the destination drive.
