Incremental backups doing full backups instead.

Thread needs solution

(1)  True Image Home 2016 is generally a great improvement on 2015 but I have one very annoying problem.  Two of my backups I have defined as incremental every two hours but instead of that it is performing full backups every couple of days.

I attach a Word document that shows full backups on the 2nd, 29th and 30th December.  (I may have changed the backup regime just prior to the 29th).  On the 31st, I created a new backup shown more fully on the secon box.  There are full backups on the 31st Dec and 1st & 3rd Jan and just one incremental backup on the 2nd Jan.  I am currently working on these files and updating them continuously every day.

I also show the schedule and the backup scheme.

(2)  More minor but TIH 2015 had a list of events (failed and successful backups) that you could access from the interface.  I cannot find this in 2016.  I keep getting warning messages about failed backups but cannot see what they refer to.

Hello,

I have tried to test the issue on my environment with settings you provided in the attached acronis.docx file.

Incremental backups were created in accordance with the settings.

Could you please attach files located in the folder C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts ? The folder contains backup scripts.

Best regards.

Alexander,

There seems to be an issue with the entire backup.  What is causing the tib to append the -1, -2, -3 at the end fo the original full backup names? I have seen this before, even on my own system and ultimately had to remove and reinstall the software to fix the issue as I could not identify the cause and recreating a new backup script did not fix the issue for me.  Normally, the next backup .TIB should be numerical in order, but when it fails, it seems like it tries to recreate the same name and ends up appending the -1, -2, -3, etc to the end of the original first named file which is what his screenshots are showing.

For instance, in his screenshot it shows...

If this was working correctly it should normally look like this for the first full backup if there was a set .TIB size limit (which it doesn't look he has, so there should only be one full image followed by incrementals.

Then after the first full backup, subsequent incrementals should look like this:
