Inserting Date Into Filename
Is there a way to tell Acronis to always insert the current date in a new image filename?

Jim,
There is a way, but you will have to edit the script file to do so. Please refer to the following link:

Scripts are found in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts
The folder may be hidden.
Edit: I just performed a test on a small File/folder backup... Created a new task...after creating the task, hit "Backup Later" which saves the script file. Edited the script file per the directions in the link above, then hit "Backup Now"....and it worked.

Thanks. I'm new to Acronis so I'm a little antsy about changing fundamental things. I'll try that after I get more comfortable.
This was also a suggestion to Acronis to add this feature.

Jim,
When you get more comfortable with ATI, then you can create a small "Practice" file/folder backup and give it a try...just like I did.

Hello jim,
Thank you! I've added your feedback to the existing feature request.

Hello Acronis Team,
this helpful feature was in, at least until True Image 2013. See http://forum.acronis.com/forum/40591#comment-127268
With @date@ I was able to sort my backups. No the 'full' and the 'inc' backups are separated.
Obviously it was removed in ATI 2016 and ATI 2017.
