Installation TI 2016 fails with error message " Acces refusé"

This is a known issue - please see KB document: 58249: Acronis True Image 2016: Update to Build 6571 Fails with "Access is denied" as copied below:

Solution 1

  1. Open the installation log (see this article, if you need help finding the installation log).
  2. Search for this message:
    MsiFileTrackerInstall64_file_tracker_api__I returned actual error code 1603
  3. If you see this error message in the log, download file_tracker_setup_2501.zip, unpack, and run it. After the component is installed, reattempt the installation of build 6571.

I would recommend downloading a copy of the full build 6571 installer program from your Acronis Account to use after you have run the above program from the zip file.
