"The last backup has failed" but looks OK

Thread needs solution

On my last incremental back up, I got a message the last backup has failed but no indication why.

So I tried a new backup and got exactly the same message, though the backup looks to be mostly there (of course I can't tell what might be missing. The message isn't exactly helpful.  I tried looking at the log files for the period the backup ran. SnapAPI doesn't have anything suggest and error. Service ends with the line operation was successful.

No idea where to look further, but I am not confident about my backup.

Dear Joseph Kahn,
It seems like the problem might be with Graphic User Interface.
We would suggest to validate your archive (doing right-click on the archive and selecting "Validation") and also try to make a backup to another location.

Joseph, welcome to these public User Forums.

The log files for your backup task, i.e. the TI_Demon log (or Service log) depending on the version of Acronis you are using should provide information on what error caused the backup task to fail.  That should be your starting point here.

What actual version of Acronis are you using?  Is it ATI 2016 as per this forum, or a different version or an OEM version provided with a hardware purchase?
