List of already storaged files in True Image Browser disappeared

Thread needs solution

Hi together,

I can´t find the list of already storaged files in the True Image Browser.

I would like to make an incremented storage. So I need the list of already storaged files.

What could I do? Who could help?

(Is it not possibe to contact acronis directly, is there only support for 2 month for a 3-user-full-version?)

Thanks in advance.

This sounds like a Recovery Issue to me.  It should be considered as covered under technical support coverage, but make sure you list it as a Recovery Issue:

18623: How to get Technical Support: Tips, Tricks and Useful Information

5.    Recovery issue
- Related to recovery issues with the full version of the product
- Free of charge

- Not limited (Assistance with the recovery issue can be requested any time, even if you’re out of 30 days free support and don’t have PPI)
- Provided with e-mail and chat
Response time:
-  3 business days via e-mail
 - immediate via chat

You can find the comparison table here

I would definiltey open a techincal support case for this if I were you.  However, you can also try to add an existing backup and navigate to your backup file and hopefully the Windows install version of ATIH will pick it up and add it that way.  I have not always had success doing this though.  Alternatively, you can try running the offline recovery media, pointing to an existing backup and seeing if it will do an incremental that way as well.

Adding an existing backup to the list

You may have Acronis True Image backups created by a previous product version or copied from another computer. Every time you start Acronis True Image 2016, it scans your computer for such backups and adds them to the backup list automatically.

If you have backups that are not shown in the list, you can add them manually.

To add backups manually:

  1. In the Backup section, at the bottom of the backup list, click the arrow icon, and then click Add existing backup. The program opens a window where you can browse for backups on your computer.
  2. Select a backup version (a .tib file), and then click Add.

The entire backup will be added to the list.

Bobbo, thank you for your reply.

I tested the following links without success.

http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/index.html#3504.html +

http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/index.html#16143.html

All backups that I created and I told about were created with the same product version (Acromis2016).

Adding an existing backup to the list is possible. But if I close TI2016 the list disappeares. I found no way to activate them again.

Some minutes ago I had also the following problem:  49478: Acronis True Image: Backup Fails with "The specified file does not exist"

Hope I will find a solution.

Try this recommendation from Acronis support engineer Ekaterina:

Run the scheduler manager tool (task zap) to delete all scheduled tasks

Then stop all Acronis services (control panel >>> administrative tools >>> right click services and "run as administrater"

rename the following directories such as scripts.old / database .old or whatever you want:

                C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts

                C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database

Start services and re-add backups.
