Log file location?

Thread needs solution

I am getting an "Operation has failed" alert from True Image with nothing about what is failing.  Where can I find logs to tell me what exactly is failing?

The logs are located at

c:\programdata\acronis\trueimagehome\logs

the log named service is probably what you want.

If you enable email notification as part of the task options, that information will be send to you via email.

Thank you for the response!

The error seems to be coming from trying to find an Opera folder in my user folder in AppsData\Local, in the "Opera Software" folder.

I am now seeing the following in the "service_2016-01-14-12-29-33" file:

    <event id="7" level="4294967294" module="23" code="2068" time="1452725312" message="Item 'C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Opera Software' cannot be found or it is inaccessible at the moment." line_tag="0x1D89313997B1D47D"/>

    <event id="12" level="4294967294" module="0" code="65520" time="1452725313" message="The system cannot find the path specified" line_tag="0xBD28FDBD64EDB8C8"/>

Other than installing Opera, is there some other way of fixing these errors popping up?

Go into edit mode by clicking options and then click the exclude option.

Many of the items included in the default setting of this option is new to users.

I usually will click most of those listed related to browsers and click the Minus button to remove them from being excluded.

Doiing so should remove most of those exceptions from your log file.

I got the "Operation failed message" too.
Fair enough things go wrong. but can anyone tell me why I have to be on here looking for the location of the logs.

It's frankly  unacceptable that software as mature as this still has such woefully inadequate error messages.
The log location wasn't even mentioned in the help message.

I call this poor customer service. It's when things go wrong that you really can tell how well the package has been put together. Please push sorting the error reporting up the priority list.

Hello Graham.

You can use the MVP tool to check the logs: https://kb.acronis.com/content/59335

Thanks in advance!
