Log File Viewer executes but does not disply

Thread needs solution

I am on Win 10.  When I click on the viewer icon, the icon comes up on the task bar, however the window does not display.  Right click on the icon in the taskbar shows the thumbnail of the window with what looks like a proper display.  Anyone know what is happening?

Raysaun, I had this issue once before as well. Most likley, one of the log files is corrupt an preventing it from opening.  Rename the following older and then try to reopen/rerun the tool (you wont' see the logs anymore since they wont' be in the default locaiton, but you can still manually point to the old logs from within the app.

Might need to stop and start Acronis servies in Computer Management >>>> Services if the logs are currently in use before you can rename the folder.

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs   rename to   C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs.bak.

It will automatically create a new log folder once Acronis is started backup and a job processed.

Thanks Bobbo.

Found out what was happening.  For some reason the program sized itself off the screen.  When I maximized, it did open maximized.  After that, it started to work with a less than maximized window.

Ray, if you have this issue again, go to your Documents\TrueImageLogs\ folder and delete the LogReaderDefaults?.txt file(s) held there and this will restore correct behaviour and window positions.  Randy, the app author is aware of the issue.

Raysaun,

Which program  version are you using?  The latest version is 2.0, which should have fixed the problem you experienced.
