Migrating a backup.

Thread needs solution

Several months ago, I purchased a NAS and have been using it as a backup. But my problem is that the backup over the network is very slow. It also makes my download/upload slow.

I plan to move the NAS and connect it via USB 3.0 or esata so that the backup is faster. What steps should I seed to do this migration if I know the previous location of the backup file. I do not want to create a new backup from scratch but continue the one I have already made

Varum, welcome to these user forums.

You should only need to reconfigure the backup destination for your backup task to reflect the new place where your NAS drive can be found to change this from being a network resource to being a local one connected via USB or eSATA.
