Mounting version 2016 image backup verus 2014

Thread needs solution

Why is it when I double click on a 2014 image backup image file it opens so I can access the various sub folders and files for recovery, but when I double click on a 2016 image backup image nothing happens. If I right click I have the mount option available as in 2014(windows 7). It this normal for 2016 not to open with a double click. Not a big deal but just curious. Or is it a function of windows 7 versus windows 10

Thanks

Jim

If TrueImage is installed, double clicking the tib file should open the backup for access via the explorer.

As soon as a 2016 cleanup is released, I would use it and re-install.

Thanks, will do that. I did have some problems during the first install of 2016 over 2015 and then had trouble deleting it for reinstall.

Just an update. I did a cleanup with CC CLeaner and I also used their Registry cleaner as well (which I seldom use). I figured since I had a backup I could always restore. Anyway I then did uninstall of 2016 and reinstalled. I now have my double click back when opening the image files.
So far I am fairly impressed withthe new 2016 in that at no time did I have and hang-ups and some of the nightmares of the orginal 2015. The interface seems to be working great with windows 10. Time will tell, of course. I think I actually caused my original problem buy interrupting the orginal 2015 uninstall.
