Need to reset the metadata - how do I do that?

Thread needs solution

I have 10 licenses installed and 9 are working OK after about two months.  I managed to get the one non-working system into a wierd state mostly due to my ignorance of deleting backups with windows explorer.  Now I can't even do a simple full backup as it errors at the end and keeps restarting.  The Acronis delete command just hangs when I try it so I deleted the backup medium completely with windows explorer.

I don't need to keep anything at this point so I am ready to reset to ground zero and start over.  How do I do that?

Ronald, welcome to these user forums.

The method of doing a clean install (reset to ground zero and start over) is as follows:

  1. Uninstall ATIH via the Control Panel or use a utility program such as Revo Uninstaller.
  2. Download and run the Acronis Cleanup Tool from the link in my signature below.
  3. Restart the computer to complete the cleanup activity.
  4. Download (if necessary) and install the ATIH program installer (run as Administrator)

Steve, I ws hoping for a simpler solution such as a reset or initialize somewhere or even an Acronis system file that could be deleted and when the application is restarted it would start with a new clean file.

Evidently no such luck so I followed your instructions to remove, clean, and reinstall the application which worked better than I expected i.e. no issues with licensing and product keys, etc.  Thanks and I appreciate your explicit instructions and quick response to my question.

Ronald, thanks for the feedback, glad the advice helped.
