Network permission on TrueImage 2016

Thread needs solution

Goodevening, How can I set the network permission for a backup to network directory? Now, I don't find any form where I can insert this data, I can only use the same user that I access to windows.

Can we help me?

Best regards Claudio

Claudio, please see https://forum.acronis.com/forum/109223 which discusses using the Windows Credentials Manager to control / set the permissions needed for network drives.

When you set up a network destination the first time, Acronis will ask you for credentials and will store these credentials in the registry under

HCU/SOFTWARE/Acronis/Connections/SMB

To have the chance to change these credentials, first you should clear the entry for that network destination in the Windows credential manager, then you can delete the corresponding Acronis key in the registry. Launch ATI, and modify the location of the task (or, better, create a new task), browse to the destination. ATI should ask you for the credentials at that time.

Remember that Windows allows only one set of credentials to be used to access another computer per Windows session. If you start having issues with accessing the share while or after ATI runs, you might have to go back to using the same credential as the Windows user using the computer concurrently with the backup tasks.
