Hello,

using acronis to move my current larger HDD to a smalled 240 gb SSD and cloning will not work since the drive size are different.

 

How do I proceed?

I have not used this version of Acronis to clone a disk yet but I have had no problems with earlier versions. You can clone to a smaller disk, though.

It is recommended to use Acronis boot media to do this. This achieves a higher success rate than doing it from within Windows.
