NIC Driver for Lenovo P50

Thread needs solution

I just bought a new Lenevo P50 and the Acronis 2016 bootable rescue media doesn't recongize the network card.

How can this be fixed? Do I have to wait for Acronis to release a new version that includes the network adapter driver?

Derik, you will need to build the WinPE based Rescue Media rather than rely on the standard, Linux based, media as this often does not have drivers for more recent hardware adapters.

The latest Windows 10 ADK which is used by the WinPE rescue media has a much wider range of support for these devices with some exceptions for some modern SSD drives.

If the WinPE bootable media still doesn't recognise your network card, then you would need to follow the instructions in the following post to add your own device drivers to the WinPE media.

Ditto to Steve's post. Windows ADK is not hard to do with the default drivers, but if you want the really easy route, and don't mind spending a few bucks, pick up a USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter as they all use the same generic guts and the Linux version of Acronis will work with them.  They're roughly $10 and brand doesn't matter - just get USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet adatper.
