No Backup Sources Seen - Initial Backup Attempt

Thread needs solution

Working on a new HP ZBook laptop (5/2/17), installed & activated True Image 2016.  When I click on "Disks and Partitions" in pointing to the Backup Source, nothing shows up.  Other PCs show various drives & partitions etc...  Simply nothing there!  I could pick Entire PC but I'm not sure what it would be backing up e.g. just files & folders, but I want a system backup.  Any ideas?

Rod, welcome to these user forums.

We will need more information to be able to try to help you on this question.

Have you installed & activated ATIH 2016 on this new HP ZBook Laptop or on a different computer?

Are you running the ATIH 2016 application from within the Windows OS on this HP ZBook Laptop?

Are the internal disk drive(s) / partitions of the HP ZBook Laptop showing correctly when viewed in Windows Explorer and in Windows Disk Management?

Do you have the latest build 6589 version of ATIH 2016 installed on this HP ZBook Laptop?

I have not come across any situations that I can recall where the Acronis Windows application could not see any of the installed disks in a computer, but this can be the case when using the Acronis bootable Rescue Media, especially if the internal drives are configured in RAID mode (which requires additional device drivers).

Sorry folks, it's just a straightforward vanilla flavored backup done on the machine with TI 2016.  Apparently it was a bad install.  I installed it from the disk I bought in early 2016, but then got the latest True Image 2016 update from the site and it works fine.  The laptop is brand new.  ?  Note to self:  update.

Rod, thanks for giving the update / feedback.  It is always best to go with the latest build update rather than the original initial install disk, especially with lots of changes to the Windows OS that will sit under the application, i.e. Windows 10 Creators Update most recently that 'broke' a number of applications, including ATIH.
