No "True Image" in context menu

Thread needs solution

I recently updated to ATI2016 on my Windows 10 computer and created a backup. I cannot mount any of my backups because there is no "True Image" , "Mount Image" or any reference to ATI in my right click context menu.

I have tried the Open With..... and tried most of the executables in the True image Folder, but nothing seems to mount the image. Please Help!!! My computer is dying and I need the images to rebuild another. Is there a workaround to mount an image (open with...) or some way to get the context menu. I have re-installed as administrator twice

You can double-click the .tib file or open it like a directory in the left pane of File Explorer. you will the be able to copy any files you need.

I didn't finish my previous post because I had to run. There is a program, that you do not even have to install, to view all your context menu items on your computer.

ShellexView

Acronis support provided me with a download that had an option to "Repair" rather than re-install. While that did enable me to mount the *.tib" files by double-clicking, I still had no True Image in my context menu. I opened a handy little utility from Nirsoft called ShellexView that allows you to edit context menu's, The TrueImage entry was disabled. I re-enabled it and rebooted. Everything is fine now.

Thank you Nils Haughland. We must have been thinking alike. You posted recommending ShellExView at 14:20.49 and I posted 1 second later. Anyhow ShellExView did fix the problem, Thank you for your suggestion

Strange, isn't it

I have used that program before because of Acronis TI. I use a file manager (Opus) that by default excludes the Acronis context menu because, they say, it is problematic. They do give you an option to add it but you have to find the CLSID.

Glad you got it working.
