Nothing but troubles with Acronis 2015 or 2016

Thread needs solution

I have never been able to get a proper backup setup beyond a few days and now it just keeps getting worse.  I can run Windows backup without ANY problem but the Acronis software does the following no matter what I do:

1) Replaces the name of my backup"Drive C" with garbage characters.

2) In the past backups would run for a couple of weeks (weekly incremental backups) but then all of a sudden it would start doing the incrementals every hour instead of week.  The result of course is that my NAS would get full.

3) Backups no longer work.  It tells me that the next backup is 3.6 TB in size (the disk is 300 MB in size) and then when it starts it fails.

4) If I try to delete the backup it tells me the file is unavailable, so I delete only the settings and not the backup files.  I then delete them manually.

5) If I try to create a new backup, the above happens all over again.

Now I paid money for this, and I should not have to feel that this is unreliable but for sure it wiould seem to be just junk.

I tried the latest update, and now it tells me access denied.  I am logged in as admin and the Acronis is NOT running.

How am I supposed to have any faith in a product that is so unreliable? Just a note though, my other disk is backed up with no issues.

Oh, and I won't uninstall it since I have read that the changes it makes to your system are irreversable and can lead to many blue screens etc.  Can't afford such issues.

Tom, welcome to these user forums, sorry to hear your tales of woe with using this Acronis product.

I would request that you create an Acronis System Report so that we can see what information is held with regards to the problems you have described before we offer further advice on any actions to take to resolve them.

Please see KB document: 56652: Acronis True Image 2016: Generating System Report for how to create this report.  Please click on File attachments below to post the report zip file to the forum.

Ok,

I have it.   But if I should publish this in a public forum....you have got to be kidding!

You know what?, I'm about to reimage this computer.  So I wioll get rid of Acronis and never touch it again.  What a piece of junk.
