Notification Email Format Changed

Thread needs solution

What has happened to notifications in the latest version of True Image 2016 (build 6027)?

I had my email notifications configured so it told me in the subject line whether the task had completed successfully or failed.  Now it just says "True Image Notification from PC" and I have to click into each one to see whether it failed or succeeded.  How do I re-configure it as before please?

As an aside, I tried to log a support ticket about this but was told my support had expired on October 5th.  I am using a fully paid version of True Image so why are you refusing to support it?

I noticed the same problem.  I hope they restore the previous behavior, as it was more useful!

This change makes the email notifications significantly less useful.  Please revert the email notification change(s).

In the meantime, I have uninstalled the newest release and reinstalled a prior version.

go to options, notifications, show extended settings, delete everything in the subject line and save with ok.

Thank you for the suggest, but I already tried deleting the stored subject line in the extended settings.

Doesn't work. It reverts bqack to the default message after you save the settings.

the backup jobs are here

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts

you can open them with notepad

find subject="  and set it to subject=""

thanks for the workaround, hope there will be soon hotfix.

Thanks Jim and Gerhard,

To get the task name plus the task results to appear as the email subject line, no workaround necessay.
============================================================

During the task and notification creation, click on the "Show Extended Settigs"

and delete all content of the subject line so a greyed out subject line appears.

Save the task. See illustration below. It works or at least it does for me.

PS: While I do not recommend editing an existing task, it is possible to edit and delete the subject line as shown above from within an existing task.

To save a new task without running a backup during the task save, use this procedure.

Thanks, this worked for me.  Weirdly, I tried it earlier when Gerhard Sauer suggested it and it didn't seem to work.  Maybe I didn't wait long enough for it to save.
