Operation Failed Flag

Thread needs solution

Ever since the first update was installed, I keep getting an annoying red flag pop-up that says, Operation Failed". I thought update number would have fixed it. How do I get rid of it.

Tks, John

John, please can you post a screen shot of where you are seeing the red flag pop-up with Operation Failed message?

I would also recommend downloading the Log File Viewer app and checking to see what messages are given in the logs for the backup task where this message may be associated.

The red flag shows up in the lower right hand corner just above the W 10 task bar for about 2 to 3 seconds with a loud "ding".

John, sorry but I am none the wiser for this new information.

If this red flag shows in the lower right hand corner just above the Win 10 status bar (time/date, notifications etc) then are you 100% certain it is being generated by Acronis True Image?  I cannot recollect ever seeing ATIH giving such an indication?

Was the Acronis program running in full screen mode and was the red flag shown within the program GUI panel?

I would again recommend using the Log File Viewer app (link given in my earlier post) and checking the log files for any messages that might show what operation has failed?

You are welcome to post a zip file with the log files to the forum if that would be easier for you.  You can either zip up the contents of the (possibly hidden) C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs folder, or alternatively, you can run the Acronis System Report tool and post the zip file this creates (providing the file size is less than 20MB allowed by the Forum).

Not to hijack or anything, but I get this every once in a while too.  If I click on it, it goes away.  The only thing I have going on is a nonstop backup, which says it's running (no issues reported).
