I have recently upgraded to ATIH 2016 build 6571 from the ancient 2011 (that required uninstalling first) on Windows 7.

I have the initial full backup run once and not scheduled to run again.

I have a nonstop backup running that completed its initial full backup yesterday.  Now a red error pop-up in the lower-right notification area.  Operation has failed.  If I click on it, it disappears.  If I open ATIH, there are no errors show.  The backup is on a USB drive that has not been removed or modified in the last couple days.  I can see the nonstop files being written under the Time Explorer filder with recent timestamps (every 2 hours).

This product is useless without being able to read the log file-- so I found the log file viewer.

In the GUI, it says last backup with was 2 minutes after that log timestamp (and that matches the new file timestamps).  The GUI job has a green checkmark and the status popup says the backup complete with no errors.

What is going on?

The error in the logs is every 3-7 minutes
