Partition is missing

Thread needs solution

I made a backup of the computer with Linux.
Disk 1 - 80 GB
Disk 2 - 1 TB
Raid 1.with 2 disks(1TB)
The total amount of information about 400 GB. The size of the backup is 411 GB.
When I restore the backup partition with raid 1 is missing. How to restore the information?

Evgeniy, welcome to these user forums.

The most likely cause of the problem you are reporting is that the standard, Linux based, Acronis Rescue Media has no support included for working with RAID drives unless these are transparent to the software, i.e. present as a single drive.

This is a case where you would need to create the Windows PE version of the Acronis Rescue Media and also inject additional RAID device drivers to that media for the necessary RAID support.

The MVP Custom ATI WinPE Builder tool (which you can find via the MVP User Tools and Tutorials link in the right column) can do this for you and inject the Intel RST drivers for RAID support, but you will need to install the Windows 10 ADK which is a requisite of this tool.

The alternative would be to find an equivalent Linux tool such as Clonezilla or other Linux backup software.

Please see forum topic: Rescue Media help for Windows 10 (AIK 5.0) and RAID 1 which has discussed this issue previously.

The issue here is that you are using Acronis Rescue Media which is primarily intended for use with Windows systems with your Linux system which is running the mdadm software RAID utility.

This is why I directed you towards the alternative options for dedicated Linux backup/recovery software in my earlier update on this topic.

The MVP Custom ATI WinPE Builder tool can create Acronis WinPE Rescue Media and can inject the Intel RST drivers used by RAID on Windows systems, but I have no idea if this is compatible with your Linux mdadm software RAID system.
