Please make WinPE32 bit plugin for TablePC
- I use TablePC with 32 bit uefi. Acronis True Image 2016 (and 2015) only has WinPE 64 bit plugin. Also it cannot use on my TablePC. Can you update WinPE 32 bit plugin (same acronis true image 2014)? - I use Acronis True image 2016 bootCD (for CD and build USB). When I try Active Acronis startup recovery manager but It always show error (can see my attach) - I use Acronis True image 2016 & 2015 bootCD. My PC has Wifi card. When I test with two version, only acronis true image 2015 bootCD detect wifi network. It seems bug with version 2016. Hope new vesrion can fix it. And hope WinPE 32 plugin for TablePC

Acronis True Image 2016 buil 5634
- Non WinPE32 plugin for Table PC. Seems Table PE with UEFI 32 bit will never create WinPE boot media rescue.
- Can not start F11 with error "Disk with bios number 128 not found"
- Must rename two files for F11: ramdisk.dat & ramdisk64.dat to ramdisk_merged.dat & ramdisk_merged64.dat.
- Linux rescue media: Detect wifi card but can not find any access point (version 2015 ok)

Excuse me, wasn't it a common limitation of Microsoft that UEFI boot is not supported for 32bit Windows (which PE still is). As far I can remember Microsoft stated on the technet that only the 64bit kernel supports UEFI boot.

I work with WinBuilder and it support UEFI 32 bit. Acronis True Image 2014 bartpe plugin can work ok. But it's too old and it can not work in windows 10 PE 64 bit. Acronis backup and recover 11.5 also has WinPE32 bit plugin. But Acronis True Image 2016 do not!

WinPE is set up to boot from both 32 and 64 bit UEFI. UEFI firmware is written as either 32 bit or 64 bit. In order to boot in UEFI mode, the WinPE must match how the UEFI firmware was written. Tablets that use a 32 bit processor have their UEFI firmware written as 32 bit. Therefore, the WinPE must be 32 bit to be able to boot in UEFI mode.
This is one of my biggest complaint about TI 2015 and TI 2016. Acronis switched from 32 bit WinPE to 64 bit WinPE to make it boot on the majority of computers that use 64 bit processors and have 64 bit UEFI firmware. They should have done what they did with Disk Director 12 and Acronis Backup 11.5. That is to provide the option to create both 32 and 64 bit WinPE versions.

Good to know, I never understood why I have so many "options" and why Disk Director is executeable in both compilations.
Thanks for bringing light into that. I agree that Acronis should not drop support for 32bit UEFI, as I wasn't previously aware this even exists.
Can you make some examples of mainboards that have a 32bit UEFI ?

Tablets that use a 32 bit processor have their UEFI firmware written as 32 bit. Therefore, the WinPE must be 32 bit to be able to boot in UEFI mode. We are more Table PC.
Small question: Do you test Active Acronis startup recovery manager and wifi search (if linux rescue media can detect wifi card)?
