Hello S22,

Thank you for your posting! Currently it’s impossible to completely disable this sign-in window, but I've forwarded your feedback directly to our Product management team, so that our colleagues could make decision on whether this option should be altered.

Thank you,

I agree with the others, why login in is required? I don't use the cloud backup feature it should be optional for every one.

If they can't fix it I may look for another backup program or revert back to a previous version.

I agree. This login-dialog should only be used for cloud-backups.
And the font size is so small on my 4K monitor, it's almost unreadable anyway.

This has been reported by several users. I goes back to early beta versions. Cannot remember what the solution is. Suggest using the forum search function to find it.

What operating system are you running? Did you update to Win 10 from Win 7/8.1 and if so did you do so by WIndows Update or using the Media Creation Tool to create an installation USB/DVD?

Please apology for bad english,

I choose to upgrade ATI2015 to ATI2016 without the cloud version option.

I loged in at ATi2016 startup to avoid this login to be shown each time and received a "thank you for choosing Acronis cloud storage" email telling me an assessment version of Acronis cloud has being activated (not be me).

I dont use and dont want to use the " cloud " version of Acronis.
There is no way to cancel this subcription.

It is not fair !

I'm an Acronis curtomer since 2012 and it is certainly the last time this year.

cdburn, you are likely on a trial period at no charge even if you don't use the cloud backup option which is thrust upon the user. Even though there is Acronis True Image Cloud they decided to included in Acronis True Image 2016. I guess this is done for a profit maximization strategy.

I agree as well, but for now, I simply X out and simply continue to proceed to what I want to do inside the program.

I completely agree with those who will never renew again if Acronis maintains Cloud as not opt-in and no way to cancel trial Cloud service.

I complete my first post.

ATI is a security software.
I dont want to login to internet in order to save private data. It is a nonsense for me.

And now, #5620 built is buggy: it gives me a write error with source ssd 38GB to backup and target fixed hdd with abt 120GB free.
Like other people, i have paid for that.

Have uninstalled ATI2016 and revert to ATI2015.

Looking for another drive imaging software.

here here! please remove the login request
I don't use the cloud.... why...
My Internet connection 10MByte per second or less, My backup drive 140MByte per second... thats 14x faster to backup to internal harddisk or usb 3 external than the cloud...
1GB internal drive £50-£70 lasts say 4 years. clound 1GB... how much.... per year? not economic

The only post from anyone associated with Acronis says it's "impossible". Bad answer from a company accepting money for a product.
Let's step up to plate and provide some customer service, Acronis.

What's the latest on removing this unnecessary nag screen?

Login has not worked, ever. It just sits for 30 seconds and reports back with a general error. Always have to close it to start using the application. It's just an annoyance at this point. I will not use the cloud. Sorry if that's a money maker for you, but I will not use it. The annoyance continues.

There have many, many sunsets, and several versions since this topic was originally posted.  Is there nobody in the company with the proper customer focus to address this simple request?  Shameful and continuously annoying!

Give us a start switch to kill that damn screen!

My backups are now failing with this problem!  The new 6595 version fails to auto log into the Cloud, then flags my backup as failing, even though it clearly backs up to my local, external drive.  From my console log:

    <event id="8" level="3" module="228" code="28" time="1501538557" message="Request to Acronis Cloud failed, make sure you are signed in." line_tag="0x29521A5FF1D6DE4C" >
        <error>

From my service log:

message="Operation has succeeded." />
</log>

GUI shows "The last backup has failed."

I do not recall this issue being raised previously. I use ATI 2017 so I cannot test it.

One thing that occurs to me is that the installation may be slightly broken. I suggest rerunning the Acronis installer program and selecting "Repair" when asked what to do. This has solved many issues in the past.

David, please see my reply in your other post in the 2017 forum.
