Possible to uninstall everything BUT the tib viewer? (or, install ONLY the TIB viewer)

Thread needs solution

I have ATI 2016 on a number of computers, and have TIB files of many ages I need to be able to reference  from time to time.

But I  need to uninstall the True Image backup software itself, for complicated reasons.  (this  version no longer supported, for one,  and of course the new versions can't read these older TIB files)

I have read the article on how to completely uninstall ATI, which seems comprehensive.

https://kb.acronis.com/content/48668

My question:  is there a way to uninstall absolutely everything (e.g., the drive access hooks, odd registry entries, everything needed to create backups) EXCEPT the TIB reader  plugin and those things which are strictly necessary for it to function?

Or, alternatively, I could follow  these instructions to uninstall absolutely everything.  Is there a way to *install* only the tib viewer module?  I still have the keys and installation files for my version.

Eberhard, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but there is no known way to do as you ask.  The ability to open, browse, mount or validate .tib files via Windows Explorer comes from the Acronis True Image shell integration feature that is only available when the full application is installed.

Later versions of ATI such as 2018 and 2018 are backwards compatible with .tib files created by all ATI versions from 11.0 through to 2019 as documented in KB 1689: Backup archive compatibility across different product versions
