Problem with the system recovery

Thread needs solution

Hi, i'm Alfonso. I've a problem with acronis True image 2016. More precisely, with the system recovery.

I created a 2-disk backup and saved them in a third disc .

When i restart system, i press F11 to initialize acronis.

Exits the screen, i select acronis and then the screen goes Black.

So i turn off and turn on the PC but it tells me that it's not present bootmgr and so I have to reinstall Windows and all programs.

it happened to someone? You know how I can fix this problem?thanks you very much.

My system: Windows 7 64 bit. 1 ssd disk with OS, 1 normal HD 1 tb, 1 normal HD 2 tb.

Alfonso

Ps. Today i try to start acronis from usb key but it's the same error

Alfonso, welcome to these user forums.

When you press the F11 key on booting, you are attempting to launch the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager, which in turn is trying to launch a Linux OS environment from with to perform the recovery action using the Acronis True Image application.

The symptoms that you are reporting suggest that your computer does not support booting a Linux environment, possibly because you have an UEFI BIOS system with Secure Boot enabled?

Please try going into your BIOS settings and disabling Secure Boot then retry booting from the USB key.

If you still have problems, then you will need to create the WindowsPE version of the Rescue Media, or else open a Support Case with Acronis Support to have them try to help you with this recovery problem.

thanks for the reply steve!
I tried to disable the secure boot but in my bios is not present (I checked several times).
Fortunately I solved creating the WindowsPE version of the Rescue Media, as you have advised me.
I managed to restore backups, it works perfectly.
I thank you infinitely.
hello steve

Alfonso, thank you for the feedback - glad to hear that the WinPE media worked for you.
