Program does not start anymore on Windows 10

Thread needs solution

I installed the ATI 2016 a few weeks ago on my new laptop under Windows 10.

I successfully performed several backups after that, all manually lauched from the Start Menu

To day, when I launch ATI the exact same way as an administrator or not, the UAC pop up appears but when I click yes to the question "do you want to allow this app to make changes to your PC" nothing happens, unlike previously

I checked that ATI files exist in C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Acronis/TrueImageHome, but I can't be sure everything is correct. Win10 Task Manager also shows there are 5 Acronis processes running as background processes

Since my previous backups, I installed a number of drivers and other updates from Dell, which is one of the reasons I wanted to create a new backup, and Microsoft might have updated a few things without letting me know, but my computer seems to work OK apart from the problem with ATI  I described hereabove.

I have no idea of how I could understand problem better and of course I would prefer to avoid uninstalling/reinstalling ATI 2016.

michel, I would recommend performing a repair install of your ATIH 2016 application which should resolve any issues with any of the program files or DLLs.  You do a repair install by simply running the ATIH 2016 installer program again and then taking the Repair option that is shown - this should not affect any of your current backup tasks or schedules.
