[QUESTION] Booting ATIH 2016 Linux recovery - SMBIOS error message

Thread needs solution

ATIH 2016 b6027

I'm repeatingly receiveing this message when starting up ATIH 2016 Linux env. (UEFI based).

Is this a normal behaviour ? I cannot remember that I have seen it previously.

I would say not.  I typically use the Linux environment, but have not seen this before.  In your bios, are your disks set to SATA, AHCI or RAID.  I've had problems when set to RAID, but that usually results in a 500MB ramdisk max size set by the system which is not enough for Acronis to load.  The work-a-round is to set to AHCI, boot, image, and once the image is complete, switch back to RAID or SATA if using one of those.

Also, perhaps try building the Linux media in Universal Restore Media builder instead of the ATIH media builder and see if there's any difference.

Hello Bobby, I use / used AHCI all times. I used Disk Director to build this one. I have spotted minor differences in the bootloader today (https://forum.acronis.com/forum/97398) but I am not sure if this would also come across to ATIH startup

Disk director might be the problem. In the past, I've cheated by copying the .ramdisk files from the local system and pasting them onto an older Linux boot drive  and it has worked.  The recent update in Snap Deploy did not work doing this this time though.  I had to move not only the ramdisk, but also the kernel file and replace them and then it booted fine.

Try building with UR or ATIH and see if the error still pops up.

Ok I will spare some time for that tomorrow.

For today I am feed up with all the testings :)

Thanks a lot for your help and expertise @Bobbo!
