Quick Question on File Copy

Thread needs solution

Whats the fastest way to copy 1.5 tb of files with my Windows 10 system to another drive on esata?

I have 7200 rpm internal hd copying to 5900 hd on esata.

Method one I am using copy and paste with using Teracopy 2.3

Method 2 would be using my ATI 2016 to copy the files!

If its faster to use ATI 2016 how should  I setup the file transfer ?

Any other  way to do this transfer that be faster?

Tera copy seem mostly slow going from a few mbps up to 100+

I am wondering if ATI would help be faster by using compression.

No it won't be faster when using ATI. xcopy or Teracopy is probably your fastest approach.

Ok

I did use Teracopy for the whole 1.5 TB with verification and it crashed once most was done about 14hrs into copy.

Now I am putting 1.1 tb back on original HD with vercation and at 75% after 10 hrs in.

I had corrupt partition on my 5 TB drive and was lucky to be able to recover everything I had I wanted 1tb of files  a 500mb ati backup!

I had a bunch of ATI backups but just keep one to avoid copying another 1.5 TB

Remind me to use Safey Remove  Hardware on my USB 3.0 drive lol. I usually dont have hot swapping problems with  ESATA.
