Raid 0 (Marvel-Controller) clone to SSD

Thread needs solution

Hi guys,

I am running the new Acronis True Image 2016 on my computer for the following reason:

I'd like to backup my RAID-0 (system + data) to a new SSD. Unfortunately my mainboard is an older one (Asus Sabertooth X58) and there is no native Sata-6-support. So I chose the onboard Marvel-controller for my RAID 0. This RAID is now buggy (one of the 2 HDs seems to have problems) ... but the system is still running. What I like to do now, is to clone this RAID 0-array to a new SSD. Unfortunately the Acronis Boot-CD does not recognize my HDs as RAID 0 but only as 2 normal (empty) HDs (JBOD).

Is it possible to "save" my system from Raid 0 to SSD (Marvel-controller)?

Thanks in advance,

Chrisu

Create a WinPE based recovery CD and see if that sees your RAID as a single volume. I have an Intel X58 motherboard and it works fine, but the controller is different.
