Recover some files on a different computer

Thread needs solution

Hello. I have my backups on a network drive and yesterday the fan of my laptop (where I've the licensed copy of Acronis True Image 2016 installed) has broken.

I needed to restore my work folder from the backup on a temporary computer where I have to work for 3 or 4 days until my laptop is repaired.

The only way I found to achieve this basilar job was to install a "trial" of Acronis True Image 2016 in the second pc, open the backup file in it and restore on a new folder.

But what if I'll have another failure when the trial exipres? Is there a way to access my backups without migrate the whole system with universal restore or without buying a second license for a pc that I don't need to backup?

Thank you in advance

Did you create a Repair Media DVD or USB?  The Repair Media can be used on other computers to accomplish the restore.  If you have not created a Repair Media DVD or USB, the trial version is capable of creating Repair Media.

You can also download your reapir media as an .iso from your account and burn it to CD.  Alternatively, use a free tool like RUFUS to convert the .iso into a bootable USB drive if preferred.
