Recovering Windows 10 (64 bit OS) Desktop from *.tib file (using ATI 2016)

Thread needs solution

How do you update your desktop in its entirety from a backup *.tib file that is newer than the most recent file on the desktop when using Windows 10 (64bit) and ATI 2016?

I understand you are trying to restore the contents of the desktop folder on your computer.

You have a backup file that is newer than the most recent file on the desktop, which means you didn't include the file or that folder in that backup, or that the file or folder is part of the exclusions of the backup and is never included. Remember that ATI has a list of exclusions by default.

Since you have a folder or file that is not backed up, you will lose it as you restore the entire desktop folder. You should copy the current desktop folder somewhere else before you restore it.

To restore the desktop folder, double click on the TIB file iin Windows. It should open. Navigate to the c:\users\ folder to open the user to whom the desktop belongs. Open it and copy the desktop folder on the physical c:\users\... folder that corresponds.
