Intel I219LMV Gigabit Ethernet ( HP 840g3 laptop )

Mark, please ensure that you are using the latest build 6571 for ATIH 2016 which has the broadest range of device driver support - if the Standard Rescue Media does not recognise your Intel I219LMV Gigabit Ethernet adapter, then you will need to create the Windows PE version of the Rescue Media and again, if that doesn't recognise the adapter you will need to add the specific device drivers for that adapter to the WinPE media.

See post: 100770: Guide to Add Drivers to WinPE Recovery Media for how to add the drivers.

Note: You can download an ISO (CD/DVD image) file from your Acronis Account if needed, else create the media using the Acronis Rescue Media Builder program.

Mark, the build available on the website is the standard, Linux based rescue media, if this doesn't recognise your Intel ethernet adapter, then you need to use the Windows PE version that you build from within the application using the Rescue Media builder and the Windows 10 ADK.

Agree with Steve.  For those of you who don't mind spending money on a nice piece of hardware, for about $13 you can also get a good USB 3.0 to ethernet adatper on Amazon.  Better yet, for about $20, you can get one with a 3-port USB 3.0 hub too (nice for tablets and devices like the Surface Pro that don't have an ethernet port and/or minimal USB ports).  This is a work-a-round and costs a little money, but well worth the functionality and ease of use in many cases.

Otherwise, the free method, is to build the Windows PE instead of using the default Linux bootable media.  In short, you just need to download and install the Windows 10 ADK (ADK 6.0) ... it works on Win 7 - Win 10 (make sure you only have one version of ADK on the machine though and remove older versions if you have them).  Then run the Acronis media builder and select WinPE and it will do the rest.

HOWEVER, keep in mind that WinPE  uses default drivers in Windows 10 - just as you'd find in a fresh Windows 10 install.  In many cases, this will work right out of the box.  However, if a device is not detected, you may have to inject additional drivers in the WinPE separately using ADK DISM commands.  I would try the default WinPE and see how it goes and if still not working, I can provide more info on the commands to inject the drivers.  This thread really has that info already though:
