Rescuing full disk sector backup data from corrupted backup
I had True Image 2013 when I backed up a messed up hard drive (partition information was corrupted). I backed up the drive in full drive sector mode. The backup seemed to complete successfully. I now have True Image 2016 and have tried to restore that backup to a Virtual Drive under windows 10 (a mounted VHDX file). All goes well for a while, then suddenly the restore aborts due to "corruption" in the backup file. Is there another way to restore that sector-to-sector backup data ignoring any corruption? I need to gain access to some of the sectors that were on the original disk, regardless of whether a "usable partition" can be restored or not.

I have already recovered what files I could. But as the drive that was backed up had a corrupted partition information, there is data on some of the sectors that would not be recoverable via a file restore. Thus I need to restore the raw sector data.

I'm not at a point where I can test and boot into recovery media to test and I can't remember off the top of my head... During backup, there is an option to ignore bad sectors (http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/#269.html). Is there an option to do the same during recovery?
If not and the recovery is not going through, I would try to recover to a different disk (just in case). Might not help, but if you have the capability, won't hurt to try.
Otherwise, you can try contacting support via chat for assistance. Recovery problems are always covered by support and don't require paying. Perhaps they can help.
