Restoration

Thread needs solution

Under Windows 8.1, if I try to launch the restoration of my C partition in Acronis TI 2016, everything seems fine until it says the machine must be restarted. When I restart it, nothing then happens.
To get it done, I have to use the Acronis bootable CD.
It used to work fine, though, with Acronis TI 2013.
What can be done to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Yeah... Starting recovery and clone operations from Windows is indeed supported. Alas... If it was not, Acronis would have happier customers, maybe, because we see many of them coming to this forum because it doesn't always work, or leaves the computer in unstable states...

Note that Acronis recommends to do these operations from the recovery CD. And that, all advanced users agree on.
