Scheduled Backup Tasks not starting.

Thread needs solution

I have 3 tasks scheduled. A daily backup of specifi folders, and 2 weekly backups of different disk partitions.

None of them run as scheduled, only starting up when I manually open the program. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks,

Dan

You would need to provide more details - we can only guess with nothing to go on.  System may be sleeping/hibernating during the scheduled time so would not run if missed if you have fastboot enabled (which is enabled on Windows 10 by default).  If you reboot, does theh job run soon after (screen shots of your backup schedule would help identify your settings - make them look like the capture screenshot below with a 2 minute delay).

Also the scheduler serverice may be stopped or not running.  Check the services in computer management and look for Acronis scheduler 2 service - is it running or stopped?  If stopped, enable it and make sure it is set to automatic.  In your case, I would set it to automatic delayed as it may need more time to start with Windows (if it's waiting on Windows services and takes longer than 2 minutes, it won't start - setting with teh delay gives it 2 more minutes).

I would suggest opening a ticket with Acronis directly - they extended  technical support to two years from the release of 2016 (it's not limited to 30 days anymore) so you can get it for free via chat now.

Thanks! Your idea about the delayed start fixed it. The schedular was set to start automatically, but would only actually run when I manually opened the program.

Glad to hear it!
