script error resolving licence

Thread needs solution

I installed TI (2014) on a new computer and had the messsage of "too many activations for one serial number".

I followed "resolve problem" and too the option "I have installed True Image ona new computer" and "move license from another computer", when I get this error:

Line: 597

Char: 1

Error: expected identifier, string or number

Code: 0
url: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/js/crosssys/load.js

Continue running scripts (yes/no)

either option gives the same result - blank screen in the app

any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks

See if this link will help:  https://kb.acronis.com/content/43955

sorry it did not

It leads to the same script error

will the activation failure eventually cause this copy to stop working?

If you have an activationi issue, just reach out to support via chat.  They should be able to square you away and activation and licensing issues are always covered.  Normally, if you have an activation error on a system, you just click on it and it takes you to your logon and then you select another system to remove one of the licenses from - often times, you just pick the same system if it was an upgrade or reinstall on the same system and didn't pick up automatically.  Again though, if not working, or having issues, just open a chat with support and they'll square you away.

the ultimate resolve was to go through an offilne support process

Let me know if offline activation resolved the case. Feel free to get back to us should you have any further questions.

I disconnected the computer from the Internet in order for the promt to appear that allowed me to save my installation code to a file, reconnet to the internet,

go tothe activation web site - use that file to get an activation code, then enter that activation code
