Selectively Restoring from My Backup Drive to My New Computer

Thread needs solution

I've made an Entire PC full backup from my old computer onto my external (E:) backup drive. I'd like to be able to select files and/or folders from my E: drive full backup to my new computer using Acronis True Image (ATI), not File Explorer. Is there any way to do that? The problem: when I plug in my E: drive into my new computer and start ATI on my new computer, my new computer doesn't seem to recognize the full backup I made of my old computer. (I made a full backup of my new computer onto my E: drive using ATI, and the new computer sees my C: drive backup just fine.)

No problem doing selective copying using File Explorer from my ATI E: backup to my new computer. But I'd like to do it from my E: drive full backup to my new computer using ATI rather than File Explorer.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Dan, if you are able to copy files from your old backup .tib file using File Explorer, then it may be that you have not used the option to 'Add existing backup' for that file to bring it into the ATI GUI list?

This option is found to the right of the normal 'Add backup' option.
