Sequence Numbers (b#_s#_v#) got out of sequence _

Thread needs solution

I wanted to start a new sequence of backups (I use the "full" custom backup cheme) since the sequence somehow got out of sequence.

I deleted the settings of the old backups and added 2 new backups - using new backup names as well (each backup has a slightly different name):

First task: S-Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series

Second task:  T-Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series.

Somehow the new sequence of backups did not start with b1_s1_v1 as I was expecting.   I was expecting to see something like this:

For the first task:  S-Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series_full_b1_s1_v1     and

For the Second task:   T-Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series_full_b1_s1_v1

Instead, this is what   TI-2016 generated:

S-Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series_full_b11_s1_v1     and

T-Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series_full_b12_s1_v1

How can I get TI-2016 to start the sequence of backups from  b1_s1_v1  and generate a similarly sequenced set for each backup?

I normally get the increased number for a backup task that already exists, and/or if creating a new backp task, but either using the same name again, or if the job is pointed to teh same folder as other backup tasks with the same name (like older backups that still live there).  This is because Acronis searches disks for existing backups automatically and knows they still exist.

I'd recommend deleting your new jobs again to start clean.  Create new backup jobs, but make sure each job goes into its own folder (they can all be in one folder, but then still use different folders within that one).  Also, use a new/unique name - to keep things simple, you can use the same name, but do something like append _B to it or something like that.

Then run the backup again and it should start with b1_s1_v1 again.
