Sluggish interface when selecting files/folders (YouTube video)

I wonder if anyone have the same issues with sluggish UI when selecting files and/or folders when selecting items to backup. Look at the video and see if you see the same, iow when selecting a file it takes several seconds for it to be selected or when you double click on a folder it takes seconds before it opens. Notice that the UI has some re-draw issues as well and that TI2016 sometimes go into "Not Responding" during this.

Yes, three drives are Samsung. IanL-S mentioned in another thread that Samsung drives can lead to issues. (My Samsung drives are 2xSamsung 850 Pro 1TB, 1xHP Z Turbo PCIe SSD 256GB with a Samsung M.2 stick on it)

EDIT:
I see the same issues is i select files/folders on any drive. If i try to restore the backup i create the UI is snappy, as expected.

I can reproduce this issue on a 7200 rpm drive as well, so this is not an issue within TI2016 and not drive related.
